Kelsie and Brandon’s engagement session in Roanoke, Virginia was such a dream considering it was supposed to rain all day. The day before their session I reached out to Kelsie asking if she wanted to reschedule because of the weather. The moment she told me she did not want to I hopped in my car and went to TARGET to grab clear umbrellas. It’s always better to be safe than sorry! Thankfully the rain held off until the very end and their engagement session at The Maridor and Green Hill Park turned out beautiful. Now I keep the clear umbrellas in my car at all times because you NEVER know when it may rain during a shoot!

This engagement session was so much fun. After spending only FIVE minutes with them it was evident how happy they make each other. I loved seeing them laugh and SMILE behind the camera. Both of them have a bright future’s ahead of them. Brandon is a pyrotechnic engineer and Kelsie is on her way to nursing school. These two are so cute!!

We started off the engagement shoot at Green Hill Park. This park had tons of variety for pictures. There was an open field, a little creek, and a gorgeous mountain view. The rain caused it to be super misty out so you could barely see the mountains peaking through! We went by the creek and these two were so great and even went in the MUD to get some shots by the water! Next, we went to The Maridor which is where they will be getting married in March of 2019!

Also, take notice of Kelsie’s engagement ring. It’s ONE of a kind! Brandon designed it and her wedding band will attach to it. How cute is that? So excited to see how the whole piece will come together at their wedding! Photographing personal touches like this makes everything so special. I love UNIQUE rings!
