Wedding at Mountain Lake Lodge

Cristina and Tanner’s good spirit throughout their wedding day impressed me. You never know how what curve balls the day will through at you. For instance, it was not your typical sunny day. It was 69 degrees, rainy, and I’ve never seen so much fog!!! There were times where I couldn’t see more than 15 feet ahead of me. The ceremony was moved and where we could do portraits was limited. However, not once did I hear Cristina or Tanner complain or be upset. The ceremony space was moved indoors to a BEAUTIFUL white barn at Mountain Lake Lodge. The florals and lights were breathtaking! Cristina and I found a spot with beautiful stone arches that would keep everyone dry for portraits! The fog added a mystical feeling to their images. So in the end, although the fog and rain weren’t ideal… it worked out perfectly.

Some of my favorite moments of the day were the first look and the heartfelt speeches given by the best man and matron of honor and Tanner’s sister. The first look was so sweet (as you’ll see in the pictures). Cristina and Tanner cried, laughed, and hugged each other tightly. I was choking up the whole time. During the reception, the speeches were beautiful!! I think it’s safe to say everyone was moved.

Cristina and Tanner, I wish you two the very very best!!! It was a pleasure meeting your family and friends! Thank you for having me be a part of your wedding day.

Fun fact, if you’ve watched Dirty Dancing then you may recognize this venue!!! It’s where it was filmed!

Cristina, you are beautiful

The first look

Normally I don’t blog a lot of black and white pictures, but I LOVED them

Have you ever seen cuter flower girls?

Do you see the FOG?! Insane!

That gorgeous barn I was talking about…

Cristina and Tanner, I am VERY impressed with your dancing skills
