Welcome!

Hello! Welcome to my very first BLOG POST! Oh, this is so exciting for me. This has been in the back of my mind for months and I’m very happy to finally be doing this. Incredibly lucky to have friends and family who have supported my business since day one and am thankful to be where I am today! This blog will serve as a place where you can come see my newest sessions, read about my advice for brides, and a place where you can get to know me. I want to be MORE to you than just a photographer or a girl on Instagram that you follow.

So for my first blog post, I think it would be appropriate to introduce myself. HI! It’s me, Ashley! The girl behind the camera cheering you on.

So who am I?

I am not a superstar. There is nothing extra fancy about me. I am just your average 20-something-year-old girl following her heart (cheesy?!). Well for starters, I start off every morning with coffee and French Vanilla Creamer. Here’s me drinking all the coffee featuring my poorly looking fingernails, because let’s be real… that’s just life.

Chick-fil-A is basically a food group for me and I have ZERO shame about that. Everything in moderation right? After any long drive or wedding, you’ll find me pulling up to the Chick-fil-A drive-thru and that’s a guarantee. I consider Target my second home. I am a firm believer that one cannot walk out of Target with just ONE thing. If you can, you are a MIRACLE worker and I must know your secret ways…

I constantly preach that I love being outside and in the mountains, but can I tell you a secret? I RARELY find time to hike and explore new places. Don’t get me wrong, I love the outdoors and I wish I could travel more and hike more. Life just goes by so fast and the next thing you know it’s been a month, maybe even two since I’ve explored a new place.

Lastly, something I struggle with is my age. I am a full-time college student getting a degree in Communication Studies and Marketing. During the beginning stages of starting my photography businesses, I battled with the idea that I was NEVER good enough to photograph weddings. I felt deeply embarrassed about my age as I was surrounded by AMAZING professionals who were older than me. I felt the need to hide the fact that I am a college student. But, hiding things is not me. I don’t want to build a business where I am not truly MYSELF.  There are times when I still feel like I need to hide my age (like right now, as I write fearfully)… My biggest worry is that people will think I am less credible or capable than those around. But, this is a story for another blog post.

SO here I am, writing my very first blog post. Nothing fancy, nothing formal, just me being me because that is what I want this blog to be.

I am feeling all the feels right now: excited, nervous, scared, motivated, vulnerable, etc… Hopefully, you feel like you know me a little bit better and now feel welcomed into my life! Come say hi on my Instagram @ashleyeaglesonphotography!
