Just outside Charlottesville, I arrived at the Market at Grelen on a serene day for Anna and Dan’s wedding. This Summer day was anxiously anticipated by many (including myself)! Dan is from England and his visa took longer than expected resulting in postponing their wedding from 2022 to 2023. As you look through their wedding photos, you’ll see Dan’s heritage tied into the wedding. Cornish Tartan colors was subtly incorporated into the design of their day.

The day began at Boxwood Villa, Market at Grelen’s property that is a short drive away. Anna and Dan shared a sweet first look before their wedding party photos. The lighting at Boxwood Villa was everything a photographer could have hoped for and so is this sweet couple! I hope you can feel their kindness and joy through their photos.

We finished all the wedding party and most family portraits before the ceremony so Anna and Dan could spend time their guests during cocktail hour. Cocktail hour has become my favorite time to get a mix of candid and group shots of guests!

Guests were welcomed into the reception with a lively band and a creative seating chart. As you’ll soon see, Anna and Dan bonded through tennis. I loved all the personal and fun touches throughout their wedding.
