If you haven’t listened to Taylor Swift’s new album called Folklore, you need to NOW! Chris and Emily’s elopement totally channels that Folklore aesthetic and I LOVE IT!!! Their elopement was dreamy and magical.
I did Chris and Emily’s engagement session back in the Fall and immediately clicked. I kind of feel like they are old friends. Their Spring wedding was pushed back a year and on their original wedding date, we made the best out of by taking photos, eating ice cream, and popping champagne. They decided they didn’t want to wait a year to say their vows which lead them to plan this special ceremony.
Their ceremony took place in Western Virginia at Shrine Mont, a special place for Chris and his family. I LOVED all of the personal touches. Chris’s mom put together Emily’s bouquet and she did an AMAZING job. The cake was Emily’s family recipe and Chris and Emily made the cake together before the wedding.
As you scroll through this blog post, you’ll see all the personal touches and moments.
Chris’s Mom working her magic!!!! Look at that bouquet!!!!!
Now off to the first look… I thought this moment of Emily’s friend Ali watching her head to the first look was so sweet.
I always give the bride and groom a moment together before we head straight into portraits and the rest of the evening! But I make sure to go secret paparazzi mode.
THAT REFLECTION!!!!!!!!!
Ali’s daughter is ADORABLE!!! She was showing off her sparkly dress that was a similar color to Emily’s.
