Megan and Chance were referred to me by a mutual friend and I am so excited that they found me. Megan and I met up for coffee to get to know each other and chat about their wedding! Chance and I both went to the Roanoke College but never crossed paths which is shocking because it’s a relatively small community! During their engagement session, I had fun chatting with Chance about the mutual friends we have at Roanoke College. The engagement photos took place in Roanoke, VA, which is a favorite location of mine.
This Roanoke, VA engagement session was perfect. Jordan and Collin and I had to reschedule the session at Carvins Cove once because of rain. We were worried about having to reschedule it again because the weather looked bad again… The night beforehand we decided we would risk it because it was only supposed to rain in the morning and we would deal with the mud. Well, it was not muddy or cloudy…
After Molly and Tay’s engagement session, I think Fall is my new favorite season. Their engagement session at Carvins Cove was everything I could have hoped for. I love how the leaves seemed to be changing colors as the light changed. The mountains were showing off today for this gorgeous couple. I squeal on the inside every time I get to photograph a long dress. Molly’s long dress is mesmerizing and I LOVE how it matches the colors of the mountains. I am really excited to share this blog post with you.
When planning for their engagement session, Brittany had it all planned out perfectly! She wanted to do it somewhere special for them that meant out in the mountains (YAY)!!! Nathan proposed to Brittany while on a hike in front of a beautiful waterfall! I was ecstatic when she mentioned doing this little hike to the top of a mountain with a 360-degree view of mountains… Oh. My. I’ve always wanted to do an engagement session in the middle of the Blue Ridge mountains! The Blue Ridge Mountains were showing off for their engagement photos. You will see what I mean… it was BREATHTAKING.
These Williamsburg engagement photos are some of the best! We didn’t just go to Colonial Williamsburg, we also went to some of the lookouts of the James River along the parkway. We started at Colonial Williamsburg with Lauren and Bob’s dog Echo. Even though we only explored a little bit of Colonial Williamsburg, there was PLENTY of variety from brick buildings, to white fences, gardens, and gorgeous pathways. Lauren and Bob are such naturals…
I was secretly hoping Elsa and Carl would be okay with taking some pictures in them. As you can imagine, I couldn’t contain my excitement when they insisted on taking some pictures in the field!! AHH! Beautiful! As you scroll through this blog post- you’ll see how sweet, fun, and joyous Elsa and Carl are. Mountains, fields, the sweetest couple… this is a dream come true!
You’ll see in these pictures that Ginger and Daniel are incredibly happy together. We walked around Libby Hill Park and Chimborazo Park, exploring the Church Hill neighborhood. Ginger suggested we go on an adventure and we found some amazing locations! Engagement sessions are always fun and I loved getting to know Ginger and Daniel. They radiate joy and kindness! After their engagement session…
