Since 2017 I’ve had the pleasure and privilege to travel all over Virginia and the East Coast to photograph couples on one the happiest day of their life. Some of my favorite venues are right in my backyard! If you’re on the hunt for a wedding venue with a view near Charlottesville, VA, look no further. Here are the top 10 Charlottesville Wedding Venues to say “I Do”.

1. Keswick Vineyards

Nestled alongside rolling hills not far outside of Charlottesville lies Keswick Vineyards a beautiful wedding venue for a elegant wine country wedding. Your ceremony can be in front of the vines with this beautiful view or you can opt for a ceremony in front of the fountain and Estate. Keswick Vineyards is one of my favorite venues because of the variety within short distance- trees, fountain, vineyard, archways, and more!

2. King Family Vineyard

King Family Vineyards is a short drive from where Ashley Eagleson Photography is based in Charlottesville, Virginia! The reception space can be transformed in many different directions making it easier to have the space match your style. I love when couples choose to add on hanging lights from the ceiling! It gives a huge WOW factor when your guests walk in! The mountain views are a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony. King Family Vineyards is one of the most known venues and vineyards in Charlottesville, Virginia.

 

 

3. Pharsalia

Pharsalia Events is located 45 minutes southwest of Charlottesville. A drive well worth it for your dream wedding. Can you picture taking your newlywed portraits with this view in the background?! I can’t think of a more romantic location.

4. CrossKeys Vineyard

One of my favorite Virginia wedding venues is CrossKeys Vineyard located an hour away from Charlottesville. Say I Do at this vineyard that has beautiful views of the mountains. You can easily go from location to location by using the golf cart they have on the property! This is a MAJOR bonus. And, no need to worry about rain! The venue has a European styled terrace that can comfortably fit your guests for an outdoor ceremony.

5. Big Spring Farm

Hidden near Shenandoah Valley is Big Spring Farm, a barn wedding venue tucked between rolling hills and a charming spring. A short drive from Charlottesville and your perfect farm venue to get married. If you’re wanting a wedding venue in Virginia with a view, put Big Spring Farm on the TOP of your list. I suggest having your ceremony at the hilltop that overlooks this mountain!

6. Irvine Estate

Irvine Estate, a sister venue to House Mountain Inn, is a wedding venue located in the Blue Ridge Mountains mountains with a panoramic view. While this wedding venue is located in Lexington, VA, it’s a easy drive from Charlottesville!

7. Pippin Hill

A extravagant Charlottesville wedding venue with the well-known panoramic mountain view. Pippin Hill weddings are magical and luxurious. From the bridal suite to the perfectly curated reception hall to the stunning ceremony views, Pippin Hill makes me feel lucky to be a wedding photographer in Charlottesville!

8. Veritas

While I haven’t photographed a wedding at Veritas yet, I’ve spent several afternoons soaking up the sun and views while enjoying their vino. Veritas Vineyard & Winery is a wedding venue near Charlottesville at the base of Afton Mountain. I suggest scheduling an appointment to tour Veritas soon rather than later, this venue is highly sought out with it’s award-winning wines and event spaces! I can’t wait to photograph a wedding at this Charlottesville wedding venue in the future!

9. The Market at Grelen

The Market at Grelen is a Charlottesville wedding venue located amongst a 600 acre nursery with beautiful blooms year round. Rain or shine, winter or summer, The Market at Grelen hosts luxurious garden weddings that won’t disappoint. This view below is one of many at the Virginia wedding venue for beautiful portraits.

10. Stone Tower Winery

Do forgive me as I know I said this blog post was my top 10 favorite Charlottesville wedding venues and Stone Tower Winery is not located in Charlottesville. Stone Tower Winery is a wedding venue in Virginia with a truly breathtaking view. I wanted to include this wedding venue on my list because it’s a closer to Northern Virginia which is a great place to get married for couples planning their wedding from many states away. Northern Virginia has great travel accommodations with several international airports nearby. If you a majority of your guests are traveling by plane for your wedding, put Stone Tower Winery at the top of your list!
