Roanoke, Virginia Wedding

When I met Megan and Josh during the fall of last year, I immediately felt a connection with them. During their engagement session, it was FREEZING and Megan and Josh handled it like a champ. After that, I knew that no matter what would happen on their wedding day everything would be okay. The day of their wedding in Roanoke, there was no chance storms but of course, it started storming two hours before their outdoor ceremony. The rain made the seats wet, there was a concern with the outdoor speakers, and we weren’t sure if the sun was going to come out. Yes, it worried them, but no one freaked out.

Well, in the end, everything was perfect. The sun came out 30 minutes before the ceremony and the rest of the day was BEAUTIFUL! It worked out great because it wasn’t horribly hot anymore. Their ceremony was heartwarming and many many many were in tears… including me. Megan’s son walked her down the aisle and beautiful doesn’t even begin to describe that moment.

Some of my favorite memories that are on the blog are Megan and Josh receiving each other’s gifts, Megan’s dance with her son, and the absolutely stunning portraits.

Megan and Josh, thank you for having me be a part of this time in your relationship! I am so excited for your family’s future and will always be grateful to be a part of this day. I hope Cancun is treating you well!

Josh’s dad helping him put on the boutonniere. So sweet!

And now Josh putting the boutonniere on Michael, Megan’s son.

The BEAUTIFUL bride…

Megan reading Josh’s letter…

Yay! Mr. and Mrs. Denny!

I asked Josh to whisper to Megan what he’s looking forward to in their future… This picture is one of my favorites.

The family!

Of course, I had to sneak Michael away for a couple of portraits too…

Loved their sweetheart table!

Megan and Michael choreographed the greatest dance!!

Everyone on the dance floor!!!
