I am squealing over Kyle and Brooke’s mountain engagement session! Photographing an engagement session at Ravens Roost has been on my bucket list for a while and it totally exceeded my expectations!!! You can’t go wrong with this overlook along the Blue Ridge Parkway for engagement photos. Ravens Roost also pairs perfectly with Kyle and Brooke’s mountainous wedding venue in Harrisonburg which is great when thinking about printing out photos and hanging them on the wall!

I love to travel and explore new places and in 2019 engagement sessions took me all over Virginia from… Charlottesville, Richmond, Williamsburg, Blacksburg, and Roanoke. I heard countless love stories. Every year I am amazed at how sweet my clients are. For me, every wedding that I get to be a part of is equally special. Engagement sessions are a stepping stone to the big day where my clients start to become more like life-long friends. Engagement sessions are one of my favorite things to photograph for that reason.

Sarah and Will are young and in love!!!! The winter weather was perfect for snuggling and nuzzling in front of the camera. Sarah and Will have such a sweet proposal story. Will had help picking out a from his brothers and Sarah’s best friend. The ring he picked shows diamonds from every angle and is simply breathtaking. After taking the MCAT, they planned a trip to the Baltimore aquarium where he proposed by the harbor. 

All engagement sessions are special but this one was super special because I have known the bride for over 10 years!!!! Scarlet and I played soccer together in middle school and we’ve have kept in touch throughout high school and some in college. We’ve been teammates, classmates, and friends. Photographing Scarlet’s wedding means so much to me! I LOVE these winter Richmond engagement photos!!!
